General pricing guide

Outdoor lighting design services are provided as a defined scope, with the design fee based on project size, complexity, and the level of involvement needed.

This guide gives homeowners a clearer starting point before the property review, design planning, fixture selections, and installation coordination begin.

Design services

Residential projects: 

$500 – $5,000+

Estate & larger properties: 

$5,000 – $15,000*

Complex or large scale projects:

$15,000-$40,000+

What’s included:

  • Initial property review
  • Client communication and collaboration
  • Developing the layout and visual composition
  • Shaping the design with artistry, practicality, and balance
  • Selecting and specifying the right fixtures
  • Determining fixture placements
  • Sizing transformers and coordinating power supply locations
  • Developing the control strategy and overall user experience

Each project includes a comprehensive design process to ensure a cohesive and detailed-driven result
Design fees for large or highly detailed projects may exceed these ranges based on scope.

Field involvement

  • Strongly recommended for precise placement and final refinement
  • On-site fixture location planning and flagging
  • Coordination and oversight during installation
  • Nighttime adjustments and refinement

Additional services

  • Maintenance planning
  • LED upgrade consulting

Terms & payment schedule

  • 50% retainer fee to initiate work
  • Remaining balance billed at project milestones

Additional scope

Defined revisions included. Additional scope, if requested, addressed separately.

Travel

Travel is included for most projects. Extended travel is addressed based on location.

Installation

Installation is quoted separately within the Liaison proposal or contractor proposal.
